The first sketches of what Sasha Fierce will be wearing have been revealed--they're designed by Thierry Mugler. It imagines Beyoncé as a tough, chic, superheroine type who likes her power glam with a bit of fizz; hence, the bow bustle and mismatched gloves that pair lacy fishnet with articulated metal. But don’t expect Beyoncé to stay in the outfits for long. There will be a lot of dramatization and metamorphosis on stage, Mugler promised. Mugler's role didn't stop at costumes. He actually served as the tour's creative adviser, weighing in on everything, including lights, sets, and these insane costumes, which he describes as feminine, free, warrior, and fierce. As a creative adviser for this tour, it is my responsibility to make her vision come true. I will say this Queen B has come a long way from the days of Destiny's Child and the matching outfits her mother made, which sometimes had the resemblance of a home ec project, don't you think?
