After only selling about 138,000 units of her Hadley Street Dreams/Disco Soul Angel (or whatever) album, Geffen Record has dropped the kid. Although they admit she has been a pleasure to work with and the staff enjoy her, at the end of the day it's about the sells. Geffen feels after many high profile appearances the record just didn't move the units they expected. Maybe, if it wasn't for T.O.N.Y she could have sold more records.

Surprise Surprise, Solange Gets Dropped Like A Hot Potato
After only selling about 138,000 units of her Hadley Street Dreams/Disco Soul Angel (or whatever) album, Geffen Record has dropped the kid. Although they admit she has been a pleasure to work with and the staff enjoy her, at the end of the day it's about the sells. Geffen feels after many high profile appearances the record just didn't move the units they expected. Maybe, if it wasn't for T.O.N.Y she could have sold more records.
