Give Us Back Our Jewelry

The Chris and Rihanna drama happen only hours before the Grammys and apparently, the jewelry that was lent to RiRi for her red carpet and stage appearance has yet to be returned. The Jewelry is now evidence in the case pending against Chris. Her lawyer has filed a motion to have the 1.4 million in gems returned, but as of yet, they haven’t.

If memory serves me right, they were on their way home, and she wasn’t dress for the Grammys they were coming from a Pre-Grammy Party, which means the jewelry should have been in the hotel and not on her. Just something to think about.

Deals In NY And C-Milian With My New Bag

The Who And The What was on hiatus this week due to a much needed, and over due trip to New York for shopping and fun. If you love high-end names at a very low-end price, please make a trip to Woodbury Common Outlets. Because of this recession prices are at a all time low. I spoke with a few sale associates and word is, not many bus tours have been coming out and people are really watching what they buy. This only means that people like us can finally get a piece of the high-end pie.

The DVF outlet was having the most outrageous sale, there were racks of clothing with an additional 50% off the sale price which was already cheap. Sweater dresses were $35.00, DVF signature wrap dresses were as low as $45.00 it was amazing. Giuseppe Zanotti had a wall of $99.00 shoes but, they only had the size that was on the wall no additional. Off Saks was having an additional 25% off already reduced prices, like the Cynthia Rowley "Crossbody Luna" handbag that C-Milian is carrying in the picture below. The price went from $495.00 to $231.00 then to $167.00 (You know your girl coped one). Fendi, Gucci, and Jimmy Choo all had amazing sales, well worth the trip. Also, Century 21 always has something, the shoe department was off the chain. If your in to luxury band shoes, they had everything from Nine West to Manolo Blahnik.

Although she looks a hot mess, I was amazed to see she had my new bag in tow. The leather is to die for.

I Don't Believe It.... Obsessed Was #1

Who knew Beyonce would beat Academy Award Winner Jamie Foxx in the "Soloist" and Terrence Howard in "Fight" to take the number one spot over the weekend with $26 mil. The movie has very mixed reviews some saying the acting was bad (of course) and the plot had been done over and over on Lifetime but, no matter what the reviews are the movie is still number one. I am happy that all the movies this weekend opened with predominately black actors as the lead. Idris has come a long way since Stringer Bell with his fine self.

Look Who's Gone Blonde

What's your take, do you likey? Am really not sure, but she's such a cute girl, can she really look bad in anything?

Kelly Bensimon.... That Thief

New York Housewife Kelly is in a legal battle over a piece in her jewelery line. While Kelly worked at Elle Accessories a colleague of hers found a vintage owl pendant and suggested that Kelly wear it for photo shoots and media appearances. The ladies decided that one day they would make copies of this fabulous pendant and sell it together. Well, Ms. Bensimon made the pendant for her own jewelry line. Kelly is now being sued by her ex colleague. The pendent, (which by the way is pretty nice) is going for $325.00. I'm pretty sure the Countess is very upset with Kelly's behavior, maybe she needs a copy of her book.

Christian Siriano Launches Maternity Line

Super haute designer and "Project Runway" winner Christian Siriano has gone maternity! Christian Siriano catapulted to fashion fame after becoming the youngest 'Project Runway' winner ever -- at age 22. He was a fan favorite, and his next project is destined to be a hit with women everywhere -- pregnant women, that is!

The designer has launched a maternity line called "Fierce Mamas for Moody Mamas," and the line is pretty fab. It includes his signature bold pieces as well as some jerseys -- perfect for accommodating a growing belly. Though some of the dresses are priced over $200, a lot of the items are quite affordable. Check out Christian's line HERE.

Item Of The Week: Jimmy Choo Aqua Sandal

The sexy Aqua buckle sandal has a 4 inch heel, triple straps, and comes in black patent leather. The sandals have low cut sides, gold-tone buckles on each toe strap and a strap to fasten at the ankle. A great staple in any fashionistas closet, the sandal was originally priced at $630, but now goes for $378 at Theoutnet.com.

Paper Denim and Cloth Designer Starts New Line

Chris Gilbert, the brains behind Paper Denim & Cloth, has started a new line with both fit and price in mind. The new line, called Resin, will focus on offering skinny and straight legged styles in vintage washes, at affordable prices. Gilbert stated that his biggest goal was for someone to pick out a pair, try them on, and be shocked when they see the price. While price point, which ranges from $128-158 a pair is not cheap, it is less expensive than many luxury brands. They’ll be appearing at boutiques this fall.
