Italy Wants A Fashion Stimulus Package

The head of Italy's Chamber of Fashion Mario Boselli was not going for the injustice of a $2.54 Billion dollar plan to help the auto and domestic-appliance sector and nothing for the fashion industry. Boselli say "I can understand helping the automotive industry but wouldn't fashion deserve the same, if not more consideration than the furniture industry" Italy is home to around 80,000 fashion industry employee's and 30,000 distribution companies. Italian minister of economic development Claudio Scajola promised to present the first intervention to help the industry by the middle of the month. Revenues in the Italian fashion industries were down 4 percent for 2008, with things getting especially bad at the end of the year. I guess this proves that Europe is better than us, even their bailout plan is fabulous.
