Designer of the Month: JOLIBE

JOLIBE

I first came across this designer while watching an episode of Stylista on CW. In episode 6 "Fashion 101" each team had to produce a fashion show for a new up-and-coming designer. Joel Diaz and Christina LaPens (the team behind Jolibe) caught my attention, with very well constructed and oddly shaped pieces, as well and the their use of fabrics. While Joel has studied fashion at Parson School of Design and worked with Helmut Lang, his partner Christina is a photographer and art director.
