RiRi and her assistant/BFF Melissa arrived in Hawaii yesterday for a little girl time, and of course she's looking fly with her sleeveless trench and Gucci backpack (with interchangeable strap that adjust into a hobo) and a pair of Louboutins (can't leave home without them). If you love the look, check out Topshop for the sleeveless jacket and Amercian Eagle for the ripped up/rolled up jeans.

Kate Moss for Topshop Spring 2009 collection

Kate Moss is in New York to launch her Kate Moss for Topshop Spring 2009 collection, at the opening of the first Topshop store in the US today. She will be on official duty, as she'll be cutting the ribbon to mark the stores opening. When she was spotted in New York yesterday, she gave us a little preview of what we can expect from her collection, wearing a floral dress that runs about $86 (above & below left), under a cropped black tuxedo jacket. She matched her outfit with a pair of black tights, heels and a fringed bag designed by Genevieve Jones .

As for the rest of the collection, we can expect some signature summer dresses, which is said to be inspired by vintage items Kate picked up in thrift stores, 70's hippy chic, and rock chick looks Debbie Harry would be proud of. Prices start from $57 for a knitted vest, up to $400 for a maxi dress.

Hermès Beach Store to Open in the Hamptons

The French luxury brand Hermes is about to open up a temporary residence in a 2,000-square-foot space at 63 Main Street. The store will only be open for the four peak summer months, from May 20 to Sept. 20. It will be Hermès’ first seasonal store. The store’s design will be different from the existing store’s designs, primarily white with sisal flooring to reflect the relax vibe of the Hamptons. The store will feature the beachwear line, towel, bathing suit, summer oriented ready-to-wear, cashmere shawl, less formal jewelry, porcelain, items that can be used as hostess gifts and a selection of bright colorful scarves.

At Last-Project Runway Finds A Home At Lifetime

After almost a year of legal limbo, and just when it was in danger of fading from memory, Project Runway is back. The show will finally make a new home at Lifetime. NBC Universal, parent of Bravo, and The Weinstein Co. have settled their dispute over the show, which had left the reality program in the dark for nearly a year. The amount Weinstein has to shell out was not disclosed. Lifetime reportedly paid between $150 million and $200 million for “Project Runway” for a five-year deal. The legal drama began last April when Weinstein said it was moving the show to Lifetime from Bravo. NBC Universal then filed a lawsuit for breach of contract and the show remained in limbo until Wednesday’s decision.

In the year that Project Runway has been off the air, several other fashion-related reality contests have sprung up, including “The Fashion Show,” a new designer contest on Bravo, with Harper’s Bazaar as the official magazine partner. The Fashion Show will premiere May 7.

Project Runway’s sixth season, which has already been taped, will air this summer, said Lifetime CEO Andrea Wong.

Balenciaga Is Now Open In Woodbury Commons

The Balenciaga outlet store will be the nations first ever to open in Woodbury Commons Premium Outlets. The store will feature ready-to-wear, bags, accessories, and shoes for 40 percent off retail. From the center of Manhattan, the outlet is only 50 miles away, but with the opening of the long awaited Topshop in Soho, what's a fashionista to do? To bad I don't live in the city because today would be a sick day to remember.

Topshop Lands in New York

Topshop and its over-the-top rock ’n’ roll merchandising have finally arrived in SoHo. The London-based retailer’s flagship, at 478 Broadway near Broome Street in Manhattan, opens Thursday (April 2nd) and, after numerous construction delays, has been filled to the hilt with sexy sequined dresses, feathered trophy jackets, cheeky studded platforms, skinny fits, geeky eyeglasses and barely legal studded denim short shorts. It’s the chain’s first store in the U.S., and among the most anticipated retail openings in years. SoHo hasn’t seen such a retail phenom since Bloomingdale’s opened its annex for contemporary fashion in 2004.“This is genuinely the best store we have ever built,” said Sir Philip Green, the flamboyant owner of Arcadia Group, parent company of Topshop and its men’s sibling Topman, during a preview of the site Monday morning. “We see this as a launchpad for a business in America.”Asked if he is close to announcing a second U.S. site, Green replied, “There is nothing cooking as we speak, but who knows? By Friday, there might be.”

Topshop is milking the opening, staging a barrage of parties and dinners for media and socialites this week in advance of the debut, and then a high-octane ribbon cutting with Kate Moss on Thursday. Moss has been doing an exclusive collection for Topshop since 2006 and launches her spring line in tandem with the SoHo opening. In addition, a Topshop van has been driving around New York handing out goody bags and gift cards worth $5 to $500. Mirroring the Oxford Circus flagship in London, the four-level, 40,000-square-foot space, with 28,000 square feet for selling, is an eyeful of energetic, packed merchandising with about 2,000 stockkeeping units, a broad price range from moderate to bridge, and dozens of mannequins and forms, either dangling from the high, 30-foot ceilings or sitting atop the alcoves. It’s a wide store with columns and escalators, huge colorful illustrations of London icons, and theatrically lit Topshop marquees. Above all, it’s the product, and not so much the architecture or decor, that does the talking.

Is A Countess Still A Countess When Divorced?

Report from E!Online:

"Countess LuAnn de Lesseps and her husband, Count Alexandre de Lesseps, have split after 16 years of marriage, E! News confirms.
"It is obviously a very difficult time for the countess and count, but they plan to remain friends and their primary focus will be to do what is best for their two children," the reality star's rep, Elizabeth Rosenthal, said in a statement.
The count allegedly was having an affair and let his wife know just after they celebrated their anniversary.
"She got wind he was seeing somebody and he didn't answer her when she called," a "close pal" tells the New York Post. "He finally sent her an email saying he was with an Ethiopian woman in Geneva, and he was serious with her."
The Bravo babe is the fourth wife of the royal, and their children, Victoria and Noel, are 14 and 12, respectively. Her first book, Class With the Countess, hits shelves next month."

Don't lose your cool Countess, we don't want to see you sweat. Maybe she can take up the advice she tried to give Bethany.

Rachel's New Clothing Line

Rachel Zoe will be launching an affordable clothing line. She tells People.com, "It will be absolutely, 100% accessible fashion for sure — for everybody. There’s no reason for me to do a luxury-level design. That’s not who I am. I don’t think it’s what people want from me. I think that I would need to give people that fantasy becoming a reality. That’s my job.” Zoe offered few details on the line, but said it would include jewelry, clothing, bags, and fragrance. This should be interesting.
