Oh, How I Wish I Was Two Years Old

Gap is jumping on the bang wagon for high-end designers recreating lines for the masses. Stella McCartney designed a kid collection to hit Gap stores November 2. Sizes are from Newborn up to 12 years-old (is that a size, lol) and prices range from $14 up to $128. The lines is a miniature version of her ready-to-wear pieces. There is also a military jacket that looks a little like Balmain Hmmmm. Very cute......

Looks Like JCPenney Won't Be left Out

The Olsen girl will be joining Kimora and Charlotte Ronson in the juniors department of JCPenney. The new line call Olsenboye by the famous twins Mary-Kate and Ashley will soon hit stores, we're thinking spring. There's a web site listed for the line Olsenboye.com, but it doesn't appear to be up and running just yet.

Didn't We Almost Have It All

It appears that Christian Louboutin was asked to do a diffusion line for H&M but he declined. Check out the what New York Post had to say

"Christian Louboutin appeared at Bergdorf Goodman today to autograph his famous red soles. We pushed to the front to ask His Loubness if he'd ever do a line for a more affordable store, like H&M, which is about to launch a one-off Jimmy Choo collection. "They proposed me to do the diffusion line and I declined," he told us. "Not that I don't think it's an interesting idea, but it's a lot of work really, so it's just difficult for me to do it." Would he ever do one in the future? "No." It's not like he needs to — the way women were lining up to get their pumps signed, you'd think Bergdorf was giving them away.

But Louboutin also designs shoes for men. And today he wore his leopard-spotted men's high-tops. "I do like classical shoes, in reality, for men," he said. "What's funny enough is I saw a lot of people looking at the shoes thinking, well I never thought I would wear that, but it looks good. And then the same guy goes and buys them. So funny enough, it doesn't seem to me that special to have this sort of printed shoe." Hear that, men? Fuzzy leopard high-tops are totally normal."

Didn't we almost have it all; Jimmy Choo for H&M, Stella McCartney for Gap, and everyone for Target. (Personally, I think if Karl Lagerfeld, Mr. Chanel can make time to do a Diffusion line for H&M, Mr. Louboutin needs to think a little more about it..... Feel Me.)

Angelina Jolie for Gucci Movie

Sources say that Ridley Scott is in talks with Angelina about starring in Gucci, a film about the fashion house dynasty in the seventies and eighties, when they pulled $500 million in annual sales. Jolie is slated to play the ex-wife Patrizia Reggiano of Maurizio Gucci, who was convicted of plotting to murder her husband. She is now sentenced to 29 years in jail (Apparently, a hit man shot Maurizio on his doorstep in 1995, a year and a half after the sale of Gucci.) There is also talk that Leo DiCaprio could play Maurizio, as of now nothing is confirmed. Geesh... this sounds exciting, I can't wait for the film.

Finally I Give You, Tom Ford

We have been waiting on Tom Ford since he left Gucci and YSL back in 2004. We understand that no specific date has been set, but sources say that fall 2010 could be possible. Domenico De Sole, Ford's longtime business partner, is hunting for financing for the ladies' line. “Financing is extremely expensive right now, so if we find financing in the right situation we’ll be able to start soon. If we don’t, we may have to wait a while,” Ford said. De Sole would not say how much they're seeking, but it's said to be around $50 million. Ford added that once he gets the money, he'll need eighteen months to get the line off the ground so he can find factories and get the stores ready.

The Godfather: Christian Louboutin

Barbie has a new man and it ain't Ken. Christian Louboutin has partnered with Mattel, for a multifaceted program under which the shoe designer will serve as a yearlong Godfather to Barbie, not just rethinking her fashion wardrobe and physical attributes, but also art directing her in different lifelike situations. Where is what WWD has to say about it

"The three dolls, packaged in Louboutin shoe boxes, each come with four pairs of Barbie-size Louboutin heels. In December, Mattel will unveil Louboutin’s jewel thief-themed Barbie; in February, it will add a safari-themed Barbie, and for May, Louboutin designed a Barbie that goes to the Cannes Film Festival. The $150 dolls will be sold through BarbieCollector.com and at Net-a-porter.com, which is Mattel’s exclusive partner for this project and will be selling dolls for the first time. In September, both sites also will offer a Christian Louboutin Barbie shoe collection of 12 pairs for $40 a set"
Below are a few of the promo pictures. So cute and adorable.

Soon you will be able to dress like the Kardashian girls without emptying your accounts. Here's what People had to say:

"The Kardashian sisters are known for their always on-trend, high fashion style, and now, you can dress just like them — without the star budget! Kim, Khloe and Kourtney are teaming up with Bebe to design a clothing line for spring. Kim took to her official website to announce the good news, writing “Kourtney, Khloe and I are designing for Bebe! This is honestly a dream come true! We have always loved fashion and have wanted to design for such a long time and now we finally are!” The Kardashian girls are long-time fans of the brand — Kim even counts Bebe denim as her favorite! We can’t wait to see what the girls come up with. Stay tuned for more details."

Victoria Beckham To Appear On Gossip Girl

The Mirror reported that Blake Lively and Victoria Beckham share a mutual love for each other, in a recent visit to Victoria's spring 2010 presentation Blake convinced Victoria to make a cameo on the show. We understand it was pitched for her to appear as Chuck's ( Ed Westwick) long-lost mother, but that was not a go, Posh would much rather play his ex-love interest.
