Usher To Confess On “Entertainment Tonight”

Usher has picked popular entertainment television source Entertainment Tonight for an exclusive sit down to discuss family, music and the pressures of being well… Usher.

In a release issued by Entertainment Tonight, Usher granted an exclusive sit down with Kevin Frazier, set to air today (June 19). Tackling everything from his forthcoming album “Monster” and life as a father and husband, Usher will reportedly issue what will end up being his first round of televised conversation regarding soon-to-be ex wife Tameka Foster Raymond. When asked about “turmoil” in his life, Usher told ET: “I’d hate for them (people/fans) to assume that. If there’s any turmoil I think it’s managing all of it, but having an incredible team that helps me do that makes it very easy, or easier than it would normally be attempting to do it myself.”

In related news, Usher’s wife Tameka Foster Raymond is pleading for peace via Twitter. Raymond, addressing a less than tasteful post on the website GlobalGrind.com, sent a tweet to Hip Hop mogul Russell Simmons Wednesday. Stating: “Im going thru a hard & embarrassing time. Pls ask globalgrind not 2 print things like this. Its not truth, I have children. Thanks,” Foster-Raymond, for the first time in days, showed frustration stemming from rumors and stories published across the internet.

Shadows and Dust Autumn/Winter 2009

Stephen Jone’s (pic below) Shadows & Dust is probably one the most attention-grabbing collections out there when it comes to the use of leather in apparel. Thankfully, not plastered all over the place, Jones has kept a certain distinction of exclusivity over the years, with barely any advertising and huge press. For Autumn/ Winter 2009 the focus for Shadows & Dust remains on quality and expertly crafted pieces like silk and leather dresses, ruffled leather jackets and much more. A closer look at my favorite pieces below.

Jimmy Choo Teams Up With H and M

Christmas just came early ladies! Jimmy Choo and H&M are launching a collection of bags, shoes, and accessories for men and women and a clothing line, hitting stores Nov. 14. That's right, we said Jimmy Choo!!!! Following up its collaboration with Matthew Williamson, and perhaps aiming to one-up Target, this is one of the first high-end shoe lines to do one of these low–mass-market pairings. The quality of the shoes will, of course, remain to be seen. But the rush of fashionistas waiting in line with everyone else at H&M come November will just be priceless. OH I CAN'T WAIT.........

Lovemade and Han Cholo Jewelery Colabo

The ladies at Lovemade have been making noise since ‘99 and in ‘09 they have joined forces with Han Cholo’s long established jewelry guru Brandon Schoolhouse to create their first limited edition accessories line. Here is a first look at The Lovemade for Han Cholo collaboration that will debut with a snake shape earpiece, originally crafted to be worn behind the ear. The piece creates a new category of jewelry, an innovative departure from a standard earring. This original earpiece will initially be available in a variety of colors including rose gold, gunmetal black and classic gold and silver colors.

For specialty boutiques, stylists and personal clients interested in a one-of-a-kind version made in 14 carat or sterling silver, Lovemade for Han Cholo will customize the style including the type, number and color of chains and charms in collaboration with the client.

Together, the jewelry collaboration is the first in a number of accessory and lifestyle products that Lovemade plans to roll out within the next year. Lovemade for Han Cholo jewelry launches next month.

Current/Elliott Launches Deadstock Line

It's been a year now since Current/Elliott hit the denim scene and helped change the trends towards a more relaxed, distressed style of jeans. Now for fall, they are introducing "Deadstock", a new collection under the Current/Elliott label, inspired by vintage jeans from the 50's, 60's and 70's. Deadstock will hit a mere 80 stores in July - including Neiman Marcus. The women's line will consist of ten styles, including a skinny, wideleg, and of course, a boyfriend version, while the men's collection has six styles. They will be made from Japanese denim and available in three washes: dark, classic and a faded "true blue". While the new collection will have a different look, it still maintains that super luxe soft feel of Current/Elliott's denim.

Christian Louboutin's Autumn Ad Campaign

Christian Louboutin has indulged his artistic side for his latest ad campaign for his shoe line. The Autumn ads were devised by still life photographer Peter Lippmann to imitate classic 18th century art. The pictures exaggerate his beautiful creations as they're surrounded with fruit, sweets and the occasional sinister item. I always consider heels to be a work of art, so this project seems like a natural collaboration.

Temperley Bridal

When it comes to designer bridal wear, Alice Temperley (of the fabulous Temperley London) knows what she's doing! She creates beautiful gowns which are surprisingly affordable with prices starting from £1300 ($2,100). These images are taken from the latest ad campaign for the collection.

Marchesa Resort 2010

Give the customer what she wants is Georgina Chapman’s philosophy, and she showcased it in a tight lineup for her resort Marchesa label. Offering plenty of her Grecian one-shoulder gowns, intricate embroidered little dresses and draped and twisted tops, as well as lots of feathers on a variety of frocks. It’s perfect for any season, whether in the city or on a beach.
